Ultra-fast satellite internet service Starlink is now officially available in the United Arab Emirates, according to the company’s website, marking a significant expansion of connectivity options in the country.
Developed by SpaceX, the space venture founded by Elon Musk, the service provides high-speed internet through a constellation of low-Earth orbit satellites.
Pricing and Plans
Residents in the UAE can subscribe to Starlink with monthly packages starting at approximately AED 300, while the “Residential Lite” plan is priced at around AED 230 per month.
Business users can also access dedicated plans, with pricing starting from approximately AED 248 per month, offering flexible options for different connectivity needs.
Expanding Connectivity Infrastructure
The UAE’s inclusion on Starlink’s official availability map confirms that the service is now live in the country. The technology is designed to deliver reliable internet access, particularly in areas where traditional fibre or mobile networks may be limited.
Unlike conventional satellite internet, Starlink operates at lower orbital altitudes, enabling faster speeds and reduced latency, making it suitable for both residential and commercial use.
Global Reach and Regional Expansion
Starlink is already available in more than 150 countries and territories worldwide, reflecting its rapid global rollout.
In the region, the service has also been introduced onboard flights operated by Emirates and flydubai, expanding in-flight connectivity and enhancing passenger experience.
