In 2025, Dubai’s commercial transport sector expanded its business base by more than 40%, with registered vehicles exceeding 500,000 and the industry delivering an economic contribution of over AED 8.4 billion annually.
Licensed commercial transport companies increased from 12,100 in 2024 to 16,917 in 2025, underscoring strong investor confidence and strengthening Dubai’s position as a leading global transport and logistics hub.
The sector’s growth reflected strategic priorities such as accelerated digitalisation, broader adoption of smart transport solutions, higher demand for app‑based delivery services, and expansion across logistics operations, vehicle rental services, and adjacent commercial transport segments.
Key initiatives by the Roads and Transport Authority encompassed a regulatory framework for autonomous heavy vehicles, deployment of the digital “Logisty” logistics platform, establishment of battery‑swapping stations for delivery bikes, and development of dedicated driver rest zones.
