Dubai’s municipal authorities declared the closure of all beaches, public parks, and markets across the emirate on Wednesday due to the prevailing weather conditions in the UAE.
On Thursday, May 2, beaches, public parks, and markets will remain shut.
With the nation bracing for adverse weather conditions starting today, the UAE has issued a warning for “moderate to heavy rainfall” over the next two days.
Authorities have mandated remote learning in various emirates. The UAE government has also introduced telecommuting for its employees, and private sector employers are encouraged to provide this option. Dubai Airport and airlines have also issued guidance for passengers.
The UAE has implemented proactive measures to address the weather challenges, with authorities assuring residents that safety remains their foremost concern.
