The limousine transport sector in Dubai is experiencing significant growth, with passenger numbers reaching 37,858,890 in the first half of 2024.
This represents a 50 per cent increase from the 25,223,984 passengers recorded during the same period last year.
The sector includes both traditional and e-hailing limousine services, with total trips rising to 21,757,983 in the first half of 2024, up from 14,496,543 in 2023.
This increase of 7,261,440 trips also signifies a 50 per cent growth, underscoring strong demand for luxury transport options.
Limo companies have increased to 244 in 2024.
Adel Shakri, director of Planning and Business Development at Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority, attributes this growth to a sustained rise over the past six years. “To meet the growing demand, we have expanded the number of companies in this sector from 123 in the first half of last year to 244 this year.”
This rise in providers has naturally led to an increase in vehicles, from 9,544 to 14,480 during the same period,” he added.
Shakri also emphasises the significance of this sector’s performance. “The innovative services enhance customer experience and satisfaction, ultimately supporting the emirate’s economic and digital development.
“These results further strengthen Dubai’s status as a global hub for business, investment, and tourism,” he stated.
