Dubai plans to extend its famed perpetual rain street to a length of 1km, surrounding the upcoming Marbella Resort, which promises a unique blend of Spanish charm and innovative attractions. Nestled on the World Islands and accessible only by private yacht, developers aim to complete this Dh1 billion five-star hotel by 2026.
Drawing inspiration from the Spanish resort town of Marbella, the Marbella Resort will boast an extraordinary feature—a snow plaza. Guests will be able to immerse themselves in year-round snowfall within this luxurious setting.
One of the resort’s standout features will be its private coral reefs, a pioneering concept in the hospitality industry. Covering half a million square meters and hosting nine different types of coral reefs with over 30 species of fish, the resort aims to create a haven for marine life enthusiasts. Snorkeling and diving experiences among these reefs are expected to attract a diverse array of marine species including angelfish, anemonefish, lionfish, and green turtles.
Josef Kleindienst, Chairman of Kleindienst Group, the master developer behind The Heart of Europe where the resort is located, expressed his vision for a cultural escape that authentically brings Spanish influences to Dubai. “We envisioned a destination that provides a unique cultural escape with experiences that are authentically Spanish, right here in Dubai,” he remarked.
The Marbella Resort Hotel, Vignette Collection by IHG Hotels and Resorts, will feature suites, chalets, and cabanas facing the sea, the snow plaza, or the renowned rain street. Alongside beach parties and water sports, the resort will offer six restaurants serving authentic European cuisine, set amidst gardens, sunken courtyards, and citrus and olive groves.
The resort marks another ambitious project by the Kleindienst Group, known for its environment-friendly initiatives including solar power adoption and policies aimed at zero discharge of microplastics.
