Dubai Police has pledged AED 1 million to the Fathers’ Endowment campaign, an initiative launched by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister, and Ruler of Dubai. The campaign seeks to honour fathers in the UAE by creating a sustainable endowment fund to support medical treatment and healthcare for the underprivileged.
The initiative, part of the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Global Initiatives (MBRGI), aligns with Sheikh Mohammed’s vision of fostering sustainable humanitarian work through community engagement and innovative programmes. It focuses on empowering disadvantaged individuals by ensuring access to essential healthcare, promoting dignity and self-sufficiency.
United Support for a Lasting Humanitarian Impact
Since its inception, the campaign has gained widespread support from government bodies, the private sector, business leaders, and individuals, demonstrating strong social solidarity. Ramadan campaigns continue to play a crucial role in global humanitarian efforts, further strengthening the UAE’s reputation as a leader in philanthropy with a lasting international impact.
Lieutenant-General Abdullah Khalifa Al Marri, Commander-in-Chief of Dubai Police, stated that the initiative builds on previous Ramadan campaigns, reinforcing social cohesion and the UAE’s deep-rooted culture of generosity by honouring parents.
The campaign welcomes contributions from institutions and individuals through six channels, including the official website (Fathersfund.ae) and a toll-free helpline (800 4999).
Donations can also be made via bank transfers to Emirates Islamic Bank (IBAN: AE020340003518492868201) or SMS by sending “Father” to designated numbers for contributions between AED 10 and AED 500. Additionally, donors can use the DubaiNow app under the “Donations” tab or contribute via the Jood platform (Jood.ae).
