On Friday, February 9, 2024, Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) will launch a new weekend-exclusive bus route, W20.
Operating between 5 pm and 11 pm from Friday to Sunday, this service will provide half-hourly departures, linking Stadium Metro Station to Al Mamzar Beach.
The introduction of this service aims to enhance the convenience for bus riders, particularly those heading to Al Mamzar beach, according to Arabian Business.
Dubai bus services to Al Mamzar Beach
The RTA plans to optimize various public bus routes to improve the daily transportation experience for passengers, ensuring smoother and more comfortable journeys throughout the emirate.
These enhancements aim to streamline the mobility of bus commuters and reduce travel times.
Included in the improvements is the renaming of Route 11B to Route 11, aiming to enhance the overall bus user experience.
Routes 16A and 16B will undergo rerouting and renaming, becoming Routes 16 and 25, respectively.
Route 16 will commence from Al Rashdiya Bus Station to Al Awir, while Route 25 will initiate from the Gold Souq Bus Station with Al Rashdiya as its destination.
Specific bus routes in Dubai will undergo further adjustments to improve the daily travel experience for passengers.
- The extension of Route F62 will encompass Dubai Festival City and the Al Garhoud neighbourhood.
- The extension of Route C04 to the Mohammed bin Rashid Library is scheduled.
- Routes 103 and 106 will provide direct, non-stop services from main stations to the Global Village.
- Route E303 will undergo rerouting via Al Ittihad Street to Sharjah.
Starting from the same date, the RTA will discontinue routes 16A, 16B, and 64A.
Additionally, the RTA’s Public Transport Agency will implement journey time improvements for 13 bus routes: 5, 7, 62, 81, 110, C04, C09, E306, E307A, F12, F15, F26, and SH1, ensuring faster travel times for passengers.
The RTA reiterates its commitment to expanding the public bus network and improving integration with other public transport modes, including the metro, tram, and marine transport, believing that enhanced interconnectedness will make them the preferred mobility choice across the emirate.
