Dubai Internet City has contributed AED 100 billion to Dubai’s GDP over the past 15 years, according to a newly released impact assessment study conducted in collaboration with Accenture. The report highlights the role of the region’s leading tech hub in shaping the digital economy, facilitating over 125,000 technology jobs, and supporting global AI pioneers.
A Key Driver of Dubai’s Digital Economy
Since its launch in 1999, Dubai Internet City has played a pivotal role in advancing the UAE’s knowledge economy, aligning with initiatives such as the Dubai Economic Agenda ‘D33’. Today, the district contributes 65% of Dubai’s technology sector GDP and continues to foster innovation, entrepreneurship, and global partnerships.

Dubai Internet City has fostered a pro-innovation environment by bringing together technology professionals from over 150 countries. With seamless access to more than 200 government and corporate smart services through TECOM Group’s axs portal, businesses in the district benefit from operational efficiency and ease of doing business.
The study highlights the district’s commitment to inclusivity, with women comprising over 25% of the workforce. Additionally, since 2021, the number of women-led startups in in5 Tech, TECOM Group’s tech incubator, has doubled.
The City has hosted over 800 industry events since 2021, strengthening its position as a global knowledge-sharing hub. The district’s community includes leading technology firms such as Oracle, SAP, Dell, Amazon, Google, Tencent, Huawei, Mastercard, and Visa.
