During the third edition of the Make it in the Emirates Forum, organized by the Ministry of Industry and Advanced Technology (MOIAT) in cooperation with the Abu Dhabi Department of Economic Development and ADNOC, Dubai Industrial City signed an agreement with MD Pharma Factory.
Her Excellency Sarah Al Amiri, UAE Minister of State for Public Education and Advanced Technology, His Excellency Omar Al Suwaidi, Undersecretary of MOIAT, Malek Al Malek, Chairman of TECOM Group, Abdulla Belhoul, CEO of TECOM Group, and Saud Abu Alshawareb, Executive Vice President of Industrial at TECOM Group, attended the signing ceremony held in Abu Dhabi on 27-28 May.
The agreement, valued at over AED 130 million, underscores Dubai Industrial City’s appeal to international investors and manufacturers. The business hub fosters innovation, supported by the Industrial Partnership for Sustainable Economic Development between the UAE, Egypt, Jordan, Bahrain, and Morocco, aiming to diversify the regional economy and enhance industrial sector competitiveness. MD Pharma Factory’s partnership with Dubai Industrial City aligns with national strategic visions, including Operation 300bn, Make it in the Emirates, and Dubai Economic Agenda ‘D33’.
Dubai Industrial City Advances with AED 2.8 Billion in Investments
This agreement marks another success for Dubai Industrial City, which has attracted investments exceeding AED 2.8 billion in the past 18 months, reinforcing its position as the region’s leading manufacturing and logistics hub.

International Attractiveness
MD Pharma Factory, a Cairo-headquartered patient safety and healthcare business solutions provider, will expand to Dubai Industrial City as part of the agreement signed by Saud Abu Alshawareb and Dr Waleid Mohamed Nabil Deabes, owner of MD Pharma Factory. This agreement will establish the first Egyptian medicine manufacturing facility in the UAE, spanning a 223,000 sq. ft. land plot. Upon its launch in 2025, the factory will produce various intravenous solution products for markets across the GCC and Africa.
During the third edition of the Make it in the Emirates Forum, organizers announced the agreement, highlighting enablers and investment opportunities within the UAE’s industrial sector.
As a Diamond Sponsor of the forum, Dubai Industrial City officially launched 13.9 million sq. ft. of additional land, addressing the rising local and regional demand for high-quality industrial capacity.
