The Dubai Future Foundation (DFF), in partnership with The Executive Council of Dubai, has opened applications for the latest edition of the Dubai Future Experts Program (DEEP). This pioneering initiative, the world’s first government-led foresight program, aims to build a certified network of strategic foresight experts within Dubai’s key government sectors.
Launched under the directives of His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Defence of the UAE, and Chairman of the Board of Trustees of DFF, the program empowers Emirati professionals in government and semi-government entities. DEEP equips them with advanced skills in strategic foresight, policymaking, and innovation-driven governance to shape Dubai’s future.
Building Future-Ready Leaders
Abdulaziz Al Jaziri, Deputy CEO of DFF, stated: “The Dubai Future Experts Program prepares a select group of Emirati leaders with specialized foresight expertise, enabling them to anticipate change, develop proactive strategies, and drive Dubai’s global leadership in future governance.” By embedding strategic foresight within government entities, the initiative ensures Dubai remains at the forefront of innovation-driven policymaking.
A Structured Learning Journey
DEEP follows a structured, multi-phase learning model that blends theoretical knowledge with real-world applications:
- Level 1: Certified Foresight Practitioner (May – June 2025) – This stage provides intensive, hands-on training in foresight methodologies, horizon scanning, and future scenario development.
- Level 2: Certified Foresight Ambassador (September – October 2025) – In this project-based phase, participants will identify key future challenges or opportunities, develop strategic foresight projects, and present actionable recommendations with implementation plans.
The program integrates expert-led training, case studies, scenario-building exercises, and interactive discussions. Graduates will receive a certified qualification in strategic foresight from DFF and The Executive Council of Dubai. They will also gain access to a global foresight network and exclusive DFF events and training programs.
