Dubai has announced free public parking and adjusted transport schedules for the 2025 New Year holiday. The Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) revealed new timings for various services, ensuring convenience during the celebrations.
Free Parking Announcement
All public parking zones in Dubai (except multi-storey parking) will be free of charge on Wednesday, January 1, 2025. Paid parking will resume on Thursday, January 2, 2025.
Dubai Metro and Tram Timings
- Dubai Metro:
- December 31, 2024: 5:00 AM to 11:59 PM.
- January 1, 2025: Midnight to 11:59 PM.
- Dubai Tram:
- December 31, 2024: 6:00 AM to 11:59 PM.
- January 1, 2025: Midnight to 1:00 AM (next day).
Public Buses
- Passengers should refer to the S’hail app for updated schedules.
- Routes E100 and E102 will be suspended on December 31 and January 1, with alternative services available from Ibn Battuta Bus Station.
Marine Transport Services
- Water Taxi: On-demand services operate between 3:00 PM and 11:00 PM.
- Dubai Ferry: Various routes connecting Marina Mall, Dubai Water Canal, Bluewaters, and Sharjah operate during the holiday with specific timings.
- Abras: Key routes across Dubai Creek and Dubai Canal will be operational, with additional tourist trip options available.
Vehicle Testing and Customer Happiness Centres
- RTA-affiliated service provider centres and Customer Happiness Centres will remain closed on January 1, 2025, resuming operations on January 2, 2025.
