The Dubai Department of Economy and Tourism (DET) has entered into a strategic Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Marriott International, one of the world’s foremost hospitality groups. The agreement aims to enhance the city’s global profile, expand its tourism offerings, enrich visitor experiences, and support the development of future talent within the industry.
This MoU builds on the longstanding collaboration between DET and Marriott International and represents another key milestone in advancing the objectives of the Dubai Economic Agenda, D33, which seeks to further reinforce Dubai’s reputation as a premier global hub for both business and leisure.
The agreement was signed by Issam Kazim, Chief Executive Officer of the Dubai Corporation for Tourism and Commerce Marketing (DCTCM), a division of DET, and Sandeep Walia, Chief Operating Officer for the Middle East & Luxury in Europe, Middle East and Africa at Marriott International. It underscores their shared commitment to accelerate the advancement of Dubai’s tourism and hospitality sectors.
The MoU lays the groundwork for future collaborations in which Dubai will receive prominent promotion across Marriott International’s global hotel portfolio.
Additionally, the agreement includes potential joint marketing efforts such as multi-platform advertising, dynamic social media activations, and partnerships with influencers, all aimed at showcasing Dubai’s distinctive attractions, cultural richness, and exceptional visitor experiences to drive greater international interest and tourism demand.
