Dubai Derma 2023 – the 22nd iteration of the Dubai World Dermatology and Laser Conference and Exhibition, has come to a close, with an impressive amount of direct and indirect business deals amounting to over AED 2.2B.
The exhibition saw more than 24,000 visitors and attendees from 114 countries, making it the largest edition to date. This underscores Dubai’s standing as a top global city for major industries to connect, establish networks, and explore partnerships, further cementing the UAE’s status as a leading player in the global medical and scientific sectors.
Dr. Ibrahim Galadari, the Chairman of Dubai Derma Conference and a Professor of Dermatology, emphasized the educational and mentoring aspect of the event for newly graduated doctors to enhance their medical and cosmetic capabilities. Dr. Galadari also highlighted the ethical dimension of the profession and the importance of maintaining its high quality, which serves as the face of this specialty, according to WAM.
Dubai Derma 2023, the biggest dermatology conference in the Middle East, North Africa, and the Indian Subcontinent, showcased leading experts, industry leaders, and decision-makers from the field of dermatology and cosmetics for three days. The exhibition featured many new product launches, while the conference halls showcased the latest scientific research and breakthroughs in the industry.
Dr. Abdul Salam Al Madani, Executive Chairman of Dubai Derma and INDEX Holding, recognized the event’s impact on the Dubai Economic Agenda, D33, which aims to increase the city’s economy twofold in the next decade and strengthen its position among the world’s top three cities. The conference featured over 1,440 international brands from over 480 regional and global firms, 340 international experts who gave 360 scientific sessions, and 80 specialized workshops, as well as 90 digital poster presentations by international professionals, focusing on various developments in cosmetic surgery, lasers, cosmetic dermatology, and anti-aging, among other topics.
Dubai Derma is an annual event hosted by INDEX Conferences and Exhibitions, a member of INDEX Holding, in cooperation with the Pan Arab League of Dermatology, Arab Academy of Dermatology Aesthetics (AADA), and GCC League of Dermatologists.
The conference was also supported by the Indian Association of Dermatologists, Venereologists and Leprologists (IADVL), Pakistan Association of Dermatologists, Sri Lanka College of Dermatologists, and Georgian Association of Photodermatology and Skin Cancer. Furthermore, Dubai Derma is an official regional supporter of the World Congress of Dermatology, which is scheduled to take place from 3rd to 8th July 2023 and is organised by the International League of Dermatological Societies. The 23rd edition of Dubai Derma will be held from 5th to 7th March 2024.
