Dubai Chambers Chairman Eng. Sultan bin Saeed Al Mansoori met with India’s Ambassador to the UAE, Sunjay Sudhir, to discuss enhancing trade and investment relations. The meeting, held at Dubai Chambers’ headquarters, was also attended by Mohammad Ali Rashed Lootah, President and CEO of Dubai Chambers.
Al Mansoori highlighted Dubai’s commitment to fostering global partnerships, noting that Indian companies form the largest share of foreign businesses in the emirate. He reaffirmed Dubai Chambers’ dedication to supporting Indian firms in expanding across various sectors, leveraging Dubai’s position as a gateway to international markets. He also encouraged strategic collaborations, emphasising the Indian Business Council’s role in strengthening trade relations.
Discussions focused on increasing cooperation in information technology, logistics, and aviation. Dubai’s World Logistics Passport initiative was highlighted as a key tool for enhancing global trade flows and creating new market opportunities.
The meeting also explored Dubai’s role as a hub for Indian entrepreneurs. Dubai International Chamber’s network of 33 global offices, including its Mumbai branch, was recognised as crucial for attracting Indian investments and assisting Dubai businesses in India.
Reinforcing Dubai’s appeal as a destination for Indian investors, Al Mansoori noted that Indian businesses led new Dubai Chamber of Commerce memberships in 2024, with 16,623 companies joining.
