Dubai Chamber of Commerce has unveiled its strategy to boost the global presence of local businesses, aiming to assist 100 companies in expanding internationally by the end of 2024. As part of its ‘New Horizons’ initiative, the chamber plans to hold roadshows in key regions across Asia, Europe, and East and West Africa later this year, with additional roadshows planned for the Baltic region, ASEAN countries, Turkey, and other African markets in 2024.
Mohammad Ali Rashed Lootah, President and CEO of Dubai Chambers, emphasized the initiative’s significance in driving the international growth of member companies, thereby contributing to Dubai’s objective of increasing non-oil foreign trade to AED 2 trillion by 2026. This initiative follows the chamber’s successful trade missions to Central Asia, the United Kingdom, and South Africa earlier this year.
During the trade missions, 38 companies from Dubai actively participated, resulting in over 550 business meetings arranged to explore potential partnerships and opportunities for bilateral cooperation.
Dubai’s start-ups have shown impressive growth, raising $2 billion last year, and the digital economy is projected to target $140 billion. With the support of the Dubai Chamber of Commerce’s global expansion efforts, the local private sector is poised for even more remarkable achievements on the world stage.
