A limited number of services are set to resume at Dubai and Abu Dhabi airports, as UAE carriers Emirates, flydubai and Etihad Airways release fresh travel advisories.
The General Civil Aviation Authority confirmed the launch of exceptional flight operations across UAE airports, allowing passengers stranded due to recent regional developments to depart. The resumption will align with schedules communicated directly by airlines to affected travellers and the respective destinations.
The Authority advised passengers whose journeys have been disrupted not to proceed to the airport until they receive formal notification from their airlines confirming updated departure times and flight details. This measure aims to prevent overcrowding at terminals and ensure efficient processing.
It also thanked travellers for their cooperation, stressing that compliance with official guidance is vital to facilitating procedures and maintaining organised airport operations.
Dubai Airports announced the partial reopening of Dubai International (DXB) and Dubai World Central – Al Maktoum International (DWC) for select flights, reiterating that passengers should only travel to the airport if they hold a confirmed booking.
Emirates confirmed that it will begin operating a limited number of flights from Dubai starting the evening of March 2. In a statement, the airline said it is prioritising customers with existing bookings, and passengers who have been rebooked on these services will be contacted directly. The carrier urged travellers not to proceed to the airport unless they have received official notification regarding their updated flight arrangements.
