The talks also explored ways to deepen co-operation in accelerating the shift to green energy, addressing climate challenges, and exchanging best practices in environmental sustainability. Both parties highlighted the vital role of technology and the sharing of expertise in driving innovative solutions to global environmental concerns.
Al Tayer emphasised Dubai’s strategic clean energy goals, aligned with the UAE Net Zero by 2050 Strategy, the Dubai Clean Energy Strategy 2050, and the Dubai Net Zero Carbon Emissions Strategy 2050, which together aim to meet 100 per cent of the emirate’s energy requirements from clean sources by mid-century.
