The Dubai Civil Aviation Authority (DCAA) plans to attract investments from global aviation companies at the upcoming ‘Airport Show’ in Dubai to further boost the industry’s growth in the region, according to its top official.
Mohammed Abdulla Lengawi, Director-General of DCAA, highlighted the significance of this year’s airport exhibition in Dubai, which aligns with Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum’s announcement of the new passenger terminal at Al Maktoum International Airport. Lengawi stated that this project, anticipated to be the world’s largest and costing AED 128B, will begin construction immediately.
Lengawi also mentioned that DCAA has completed its preparations for participation in the 23rd edition of the Airport Show, scheduled to take place from 14th to 16th May at the Dubai World Trade Centre. The Authority aims to strengthen the emirate’s aviation sector by joining the world’s largest annual airport industry exhibition.
Under the patronage of Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, the event provides a key platform for effective engagement with stakeholders, interaction with experts and key decision-makers, and addressing inquiries relevant to activities within Dubai.
The DCAA’s participation in the Airport Show exhibition will offer a crucial platform for engaging with international and regional stakeholders.
