A delegation from the Guangdong Provincial Department of Industry and Information Technology visited the Ras Al Khaimah Chamber of Commerce to explore broader cooperation opportunities. The group was led by Wang Shuping and included senior officials representing the China International Small and Medium Enterprises Fair. Their hosts welcomed them with discussions that centred on future collaboration across sectors such as medical services, manufacturing and information technology.
Focus on Joint Growth Opportunities
During the meeting, representatives highlighted the Chamber’s mechanisms, activities and services that consistently support investors and the wider business community. They also explained how these efforts contribute to Ras Al Khaimah’s long-term industrial and economic goals. Additionally, the Chamber outlined its role in backing key events, forums and exhibitions that strengthen the emirate’s appeal as a major destination for business gatherings.
The discussion further emphasized support for youth SMEs. This included training programmes, guidance services, simplified procedures and consultancy support, all of which help young entrepreneurs access both local and global markets. The hosts also confirmed their interest in participating in the China Homelife Expo UAE through their members.
Strengthened Economic Links and Future Engagements
The delegation expressed appreciation for the warm reception and praised Ras Al Khaimah’s industrial capabilities. They noted Guangdong Province’s strong economic potential and advanced manufacturing excellence, while affirming their commitment to planning large-scale commercial exhibitions in the emirate. Such events, they said, would boost trade exchange and deepen cooperation.
They additionally highlighted their focus on small enterprises, which aligns closely with national and local priorities in the UAE. Since these projects support job creation, innovation and youth empowerment, the delegation stressed that cooperation in this area remains essential.
Before concluding the visit, the delegation invited Ras Al Khaimah — represented by the Chamber and the Saud bin Saqr Establishment for Youth Projects Development — to participate in the 23rd China–ASEAN Expo scheduled for September 2026. The event is expected to host more than 1,500 Chinese companies and aims to serve as a major platform for strengthening economic partnerships across the region.
