China Successfully Launches New Remote Sensing Satellite into Orbit with Long March-2D Rocket.
China Central Television announced on Wednesday that China’s Long March-2D carrier rocket has been successfully launched, carrying a cutting-edge remote sensing satellite into space.
The rocket lifted off at precisely 6:56 am (Beijing Time) from the Xichang Satellite Launch Centre situated in the southwestern province of Sichuan. Following a flawless launch, the Yaogan-42 01 satellite was placed into its designated orbit.
This significant achievement marks the 515th successful flight mission of the renowned Long March series rockets, showcasing China’s continued advancements in space exploration and satellite technology, according to WAM.
