President Gabriel Boric Font of Chile has arrived in Abu Dhabi today for an official visit to the UAE, marking a significant moment in the diplomatic history between the two nations.
Upon his arrival at the Presidential Airport in Abu Dhabi, President Boric Font was welcomed by Reem bint Ebrahim Al Hashimy, Minister of State for International Cooperation and Head of the Honorary Mission accompanying the President, along with Mohammed Saeed Al Neyadi, UAE Ambassador to Chile, and several other officials.
This visit is particularly noteworthy as it is the first by a Chilean president to the UAE since the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries in 1978. During his stay, President Boric Font will engage in discussions with President Sheikh Mohamed, focusing on enhancing cooperation in economic, commercial, and developmental sectors. These talks aim to support the shared goals of sustainable development and prosperity for both nations.
