Abdullah bin Touq Al Marri, UAE Minister of Economy, met with Dr Rania Al-Mashat, Egypt’s Minister of Planning, Economic Development, and International Cooperation, to discuss enhancing economic collaboration between their countries.
The meeting took place during the Arab Economic and Social Council sessions at the Arab League headquarters, chaired by the UAE. The ministers reviewed policies aimed at stimulating the private sector, increasing productivity, and deepening bilateral cooperation in developing and implementing economic programmes that adapt to global changes.
They also addressed improving performance, enhancing the efficiency of planning systems, and boosting economic competitiveness, while focusing on best practices to support development efforts.
Bin Touq highlighted the UAE Ministry of Economy’s willingness to work with Egypt’s Ministry of Planning, Economic Development, and International Cooperation to advance mutual development goals.
Dr Al-Mashat praised the enduring relationship between the UAE and Egypt, reaffirming Egypt’s commitment to further strengthening these ties and enhancing cooperation in sectors like food security, infrastructure, and energy.
