According to state media, flights between Bahrain and Qatar will resume this month. Bahrain’s Civil Aviation Affairs has declared the resumption of flights between the two countries, which will commence on May 25.
This decision was made based on the agreement reached by the authorities of both nations. The resumption of flights signifies the improving relations between the two nations, aiming to fulfill the shared aspirations of their leaderships and citizens.
In the previous month, the two nations agreed to reinstate diplomatic relations. Bahrain had previously implemented a boycott on Qatar in 2017, following the Arab Spring protests in 2011, according to Arabian Business.
However, the boycott was lifted at the beginning of 2021, and since then, the lUnited Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, and Egypt have also restored ties with Qatar. The restoration of relations was officially announced by both countries after a meeting between delegations at the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) headquarters in Riyadh.
