Arada has officially awarded a AED 618 million construction contract to Intermass Engineering & Contracting for the development of the Anantara Sharjah Resort and Residences, marking a major step forward in Sharjah’s luxury hospitality landscape. The premium seafront destination is taking shape along Al Heera Beach, a vibrant and fast-growing tourism corridor in the emirate.
The two-year contract covers the construction of both the Anantara Sharjah Resort and the Anantara Sharjah Residences. Located on the northeastern edge of Al Heera Beach, the project includes a luxury Anantara hotel alongside 128 branded residences. Preliminary enabling and foundation works have already been completed, and construction is actively underway.
Distinctive design and premium beachfront location
Owned and developed by Arada and operated by global hospitality group Minor Hotels, the project features striking architectural elements, including a dramatic gateway structure that traces the path of the sun. The resort and residences are situated within a 3.5-kilometre stretch of Al Heera Beach, which already offers jogging and cycling tracks and an array of dining venues, further enhancing its appeal as a leisure and investment destination.
Arada Group CEO Ahmed Alkhoshaibi stated,
“This contract will bring one of Sharjah’s most distinctive luxury destinations to life on the coast of the Arabian Gulf. With its exceptional architecture and beachfront setting, the Anantara Sharjah complex will elevate the emirate’s appeal to international travellers and discerning homeowners.”
Strategic hospitality debut for the Anantara brand
The development marks the Anantara brand’s debut in Sharjah, and establishes a new benchmark for high-end hospitality in the Northern Emirates. The integration of branded residences into the resort ecosystem is expected to draw regional and global interest from affluent buyers seeking seafront property with world-class service and amenities.
As Sharjah continues to diversify its tourism and real estate offerings, this project aligns with the emirate’s broader strategy to attract international visitors while offering unique investment opportunities within the UAE’s thriving northern region.
