Arada has awarded two contracts for the upcoming phase of 2,210 homes within Sharjah’s AED35B Aljada megaproject. Together valued at AED2.04B, the agreements cover the main construction works for 14 residential buildings.
China Tiesiju Civil Engineering Group Co., a subsidiary of global construction firm China Railway Group, will oversee the construction of five Nesba buildings along East Boulevard and five Safa buildings on West Boulevard.
The contract for The Gate blocks 3 to 6, positioned near the community’s southern entrances, has been awarded to Kuwait-based Mohammed Abdulmohsin Al Kharafi and Sons LLC. The contractor has previously collaborated with Arada on developments including Aljada, Masaar and Nasma Residences.
Both contracts carry a 26-month construction timeline, with all buildings expected to be completed in the second quarter of 2028. Delivery is planned ahead of the opening of one of the community’s key anchors, Madar Mall.
The projects will introduce modern apartment buildings featuring units ranging from one-bedroom apartments to spacious four-bedroom family homes. All residences will be equipped with integrated smart home technologies as a standard feature.
Ahmed Alkhoshaibi, Group CEO of Arada, said the contracts demonstrate strong confidence in the local market and the company’s commitment to advancing its projects across the UAE. He noted that the agreements represent a significant step in Aljada’s ongoing development and reflect sustained buyer demand within the community.
The Nesba and Safa neighbourhoods feature contemporary, light-filled architectural design and are located next to Aljada’s signature sports park. The park is currently under development and is expected to open by the end of 2026.
