ATM 2023 will include various panel discussions and events related to industry financing, examining the associated opportunities and challenges. Apart from the ITIC panels, the event will include sessions covering significant issues such as investment in travel tech, the current geopolitical landscape, urban regeneration, future markets, space tourism, and more.
Danielle Curtis, Exhibition Director ME, Arabian Travel Market, said, “With nearly 160,000 hotel rooms under development across the GCC, this region is undoubtedly a global hotspot for industry investment right now. Thanks to the participation of ITIC and a host of other finance-related sessions, ATM 2023 represents the ideal forum for travel, tourism and hospitality professionals from around the world to explore the latest investment opportunities and novel financing models with some of the biggest names in our sector.”
Taking place on day three of ATM 2023, the “ITIC Tourism Investment Session: Making Sustainable Decisions” will feature insights from an array of industry experts. The sessions will begin with a tourism economic outlook for 2023 from Gerald Lawless, Director of ITIC Ltd, Invest Tourism Ltd and Ambassador for the World Travel & Tourism Council (WTTC), according to WAM.
As part of the 30th edition of the Arabian Travel Market (ATM), a “Plug and Play: Sustainable Tech – Startups Pitch Battle” will be held at the new Sustainability Hub, where seven entrepreneurs will present their innovative solutions to a group of independent industry experts. Along with this event, ATM 2023 will include various sessions focusing on investment, such as financing sustainable travel, supporting green technologies, strengthening supply chains, safeguarding the travel industry against geopolitical upheavals, urban regeneration, future markets, and space tourism.
The theme for ATM 2023 is “Working Towards Net Zero,” and the conference program will delve into the future of sustainable travel. Delegates can discover growth strategies in key vertical sectors while regional experts examine a sustainable future before COP28, which will take place in Dubai in November 2023. The conference will also introduce a sustainability category at its annual exhibitor awards, recognising exhibitors based on their environmental impact reduction efforts.
