Ajman has announced new regulations to govern real estate service charges and penalties. The initiative aims to boost the sector’s efficiency and align it with the emirate’s wider economic and regulatory goals.
Sheikh Ammar bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, Crown Prince of Ajman and Chairman of the Ajman Executive Council, issued Emiri Decree No. 9 of 2025. The decree focuses on real estate service fees, violations, and related fines under the authority of the Department of Land and Real Estate Regulation.
Clear Role for the Land and Real Estate Department
The department will handle the collection of approved service fees. It will also identify violations and apply the prescribed fines. If other laws impose stricter penalties, those will take precedence.
The decree overrides any conflicting legislation. Any clause that contradicts this new law will no longer apply.
Implementation and Legal Publishing
This decree will take effect 60 days from its issue date. It will also be published in Ajman’s Official Gazette.
