Arabesque, an investment firm based in the UAE, and the Maldivian hospitality company SIMDI Group backs Beond. With these strong partnerships, Beond aims to provide exceptional service and cater to the growing demand for travel from Dubai to Maldives. Travel enthusiasts look forward to an exciting new option for their journeys starting this September as the airline focuses on travel from Dubai to Maldives for leisure and luxury experiences.
Tero Taskila, the CEO and Chairman of Beond, a designated carrier of the Maldives awaiting approval from the Maldivian air authorities, announced that they identified the significant growth in the leisure travel segment and decided to establish the world’s first all-leisure airline. .With the global luxury travel market anticipated to reach $1.57 trillion by 2028, Beond aims to capitalize on this trend.
Setting itself apart, Beond will operate custom-built Airbus A321LR narrow-body jets with a distinctive configuration. Instead of the usual 220 seats, the aircraft will offer 68 lie-flat seats in a 2-2 format, ensuring a premium and comfortable travel experience.
As part of its ambitious growth plans, Beond intends to serve 52 non-stop destinations in 26 countries and cater to approximately 1.4 million passengers within five years. Among the initial destinations are Dubai, Hong Kong, Milan, Munich, Paris, Riyadh, Singapore, Taipei, Vienna, and Zurich.
