Air Arabia (PJSC), the Middle East and North Africa’s largest low-cost carrier, has announced record financial and operational performance for the third quarter and first nine months of 2025.
For the quarter ending 30 September 2025, Air Arabia posted a net profit of AED 656 million, marking a 16% year-on-year rise. Revenue climbed 14% to AED 2.04 billion, driven by resilient performance and sustained demand across its network.
The airline carried over 5.9 million passengers during the quarter, a 16% increase from the same period last year. Its average seat load factor — the percentage of seats filled — rose by four points to 85%, underscoring the carrier’s efficiency and strong operational model within the low-cost segment.
Sheikh Abdullah bin Mohammad Al Thani, Chairman of Air Arabia, said: “Air Arabia’s record third-quarter performance reflects the continued strength of our business model and the sustained demand for our value-driven product. The solid growth in profitability, revenue, and passenger numbers underscores our ability to deliver consistent results despite ongoing geopolitical and supply chain challenges impacting the aviation sector.”
He further added that operational efficiency, disciplined cost management, and network optimisation have helped sustain healthy margins while expanding into key markets. He credited the results to the efforts of the management team, customer trust, and the airline’s strategic vision.
Between January and September 2025, Air Arabia continued to deliver robust performance supported by strong customer demand and effective execution. Net profit for the nine-month period reached AED 1.42 billion, a 13% rise year-on-year, while revenues increased 10% to AED 5.49 billion. Passenger traffic surpassed 16 million, up 14%, with an average seat load factor of 85%, up four percentage points.
In the same period, Air Arabia strengthened its network by introducing 12 new routes across its hubs in the UAE, Morocco, Egypt, and Pakistan, expanding its total network to 212 destinations. The airline also added six new aircraft to its fleet, bringing the total to 88 Airbus A320 and A321 aircraft, with further additions expected before the end of 2025.
