Adnec Group has announced its highest-ever economic impact, contributing AED 8.5B to the UAE economy in 2024.
The group, which owns and operates the region’s largest exhibition venue, Adnec Centre Abu Dhabi, achieved a record economic contribution of AED 8.5B (USD 2.3B) in 2024. This figure exceeds the previous year’s contribution of AED 7.4B, highlighting the group’s expanding role in supporting the UAE’s strategic goals of economic diversification and sustainable growth.
Adnec Group broadened its global presence by acquiring Royal Catering and the Business Design Centre in London, UK, increasing its portfolio to four venues. Its dedication to sustainability was further demonstrated by launching TerraTile, an innovative flooring solution created from exhibition waste, and by making Adnec Centre Abu Dhabi the first MICE venue in the Middle East to be fully powered by clean energy from EWEC.
Throughout the year, Adnec Group’s venues, including Adnec Centre Abu Dhabi, Adnec Centre Al Ain, and ExCeL London, hosted over 1,000 events and attracted a record 5.4M visitors. Significant accomplishments included expanding ExCeL London to 270,000 sq m and hosting flagship events such as the Abu Dhabi International Boat Show (ADIBS) and the Abu Dhabi International Hunting and Equestrian Exhibition (ADIHEX). Additionally, Capital Events facilitated over AED 10B in deals, Adnec Hotels accommodated 1.53M guests, and Capital Catering served 40M meals across 45 locations.
