The Abu Dhabi Business Centre at the Abu Dhabi Department of Economic Development (ADDED) has introduced 12 new economic activities to the Tajer Abu Dhabi (Abu Dhabi Trader) licence. This allows investors to secure an economic licence without needing a physical location or paying commercial rent for three years.
ADDED aims to support entrepreneurs by offering numerous opportunities in Abu Dhabi’s economy, simplifying business establishment and operations. The new activities include maritime consultancy services, tourism and recreation consultancy, analysis of accountancy and auditing systems, logistics consultancy, statistical services consultancy, network consultancy, agricultural extension services, silk-screen printing for textiles and apparel, and design and artwork services.
The Tajer Abu Dhabi licence enables UAE Nationals and residents to conduct their businesses without a physical headquarters for up to three years, per the relevant regulations and approvals.
Mohammed Munif Al Mansouri, Executive Director of the Abu Dhabi Business Centre, remarked, “The addition of new activities to the Tajer Abu Dhabi licence highlights Abu Dhabi’s dynamic economy and the growth of specialised sectors. To meet the needs of entrepreneurs and investors, we have introduced activities that allow business owners to obtain necessary licences, facilitating the launch of projects that enhance commercial activity and economic development in Abu Dhabi. This step reaffirms ADDED’s commitment to entrepreneurship and SMEs, vital for economic diversification and job creation.”
“The Tajer Abu Dhabi licence has seen rising demand since its inception in 2017, with 5,989 new licences issued last year, accounting for over 23 percent of all new economic licences in the emirate, demonstrating its effectiveness in meeting entrepreneurs’ needs.”
