AD Ports Group recorded impressive growth in 2024, marked by key strategic investments and operational milestones. The year ended with the opening of CMA Terminals Khalifa Port, boosting the port’s capacity by 23%, strengthening its position as a global trade hub. Additionally, vehicle traffic at the Autoterminal increased by 30% in the first half of 2024, supported by an expansion of storage capacity.
Internationally, AD Ports continued its expansion, securing a $75m investment for Karachi Port and entering into agreements in Egypt to enhance cruise operations. The group further extended its footprint with new acquisitions in Angola, Tanzania, and Georgia, strengthening its logistics networks across key global trade routes.
Financially, AD Ports reported record revenues of Dhs12.72bn and a net profit of AED 1.29B in the first nine months of 2024, with Moody’s awarding it an A1 credit rating. The group also secured favourable refinancing terms, boosting its financial position and flexibility.
In terms of technological innovation, AD Ports acquired Dubai Technologies, now rebranded as Maqta Technologies Group, and launched SAFEEN Green, an unmanned vessel aimed at revolutionising marine surveys. The group also achieved a Guinness World Record for the world’s most powerful electric tugboat.
KEZAD Group, a key player in industrial development, attracted over Dhs6bn in investments, including a lithium processing plant and expanded warehousing. Captain Mohamed Juma Al Shamisi, Group CEO, commented: “Through strategic expansions and investments, we have reinforced our position as a global leader in trade and logistics.”
