Q Mobility has introduced new paid parking zones under the MAWAQiF system across multiple areas on Abu Dhabi Island, effective from 10 July.
The locations impacted by this rollout include Dolphin Park, Eastern Mangroves, Al Khaleej Al Arabi Park sectors 1, 2, 4, and 5, as well as Al Gurm Plaza. The update was shared via Q Mobility’s official Instagram page.
This extension of the MAWAQiF scheme aligns with the emirate’s wider objective to improve traffic circulation and ensure better access to parking in areas with high demand.
The move follows the completion of essential infrastructure upgrades, such as kerb painting, the installation of directional signage, and the placement of public awareness boards. Q Mobility stated that this initiative supports its wider plan to enhance the parking system, regulate public usage more efficiently, and ease traffic congestion.
Motorists are advised to adhere to the displayed signage and use digital platforms, including the Darb app, to complete their payments smoothly.
