Yas Island Prepares for F1 Grand Finale
Yas Island, renowned for its iconic attractions like SeaWorld Abu Dhabi, Ferrari World, and Warner Brothers, is gearing up to host the season’s final Formula 1 race from November 24-26. The Abu Dhabi Grand Prix, the culmination of the F1 season, draws global visitors to the capital, prompting an unprecedented surge in demand for hotels on Yas Island.
The research breaks down the exorbitant rates set for the race weekend across various hotels, with increases ranging from 188.5 percent to a staggering 855.8 percent, according to Arabian Business.
Despite the substantial rate hikes, experts predict record-high hotel occupancy in Abu Dhabi, attributing the surge to the mounting anticipation surrounding the F1 Abu Dhabi Grand Prix. The event’s popularity is further emphasized by this year’s demand surpassing the previous edition.
Apart from the thrilling race, post-event concerts featuring global artists, including Chris Brown, Shania Twain, Ava Max, and Tiesto, contribute significantly to the event’s allure.
Saif Rashid Al Noaimi, CEO of Ethara, highlighted the international appeal of the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix, noting that over 70 percent of attendees at the Yas Marina Circuit during the 2022 race weekend traveled from overseas. The focus, he emphasized, is on ensuring that the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix transcends being merely a race weekend.
