Aligned with Abu Dhabi’s drive to expand global economic partnerships and enhance trade and investment ties with key international players, a delegation headed by Shamis Al Dhaheri, Second Vice Chairman and Managing Director of the Abu Dhabi Chamber of Commerce and Industry, will travel to Germany from 15 to 18 September 2025.
The mission comes at a pivotal moment for the global economy, highlighting the need for collaborations built on innovation and knowledge sharing. As the largest economy in Europe and the world’s fourth-largest, Germany continues to be a strategic partner for both Abu Dhabi and the wider UAE.
Bilateral economic relations between the UAE and Germany have accelerated significantly in recent years. In 2024, non-oil trade between the two countries stood at AED 50.68 billion (USD 13.8 billion), reflecting a 5.4% year-on-year increase.
During the visit, several agreements are set to be signed, reinforcing a mutual commitment to deepening economic cooperation, fostering innovative business ventures, and driving initiatives centred on sustainability and advanced technologies.
The delegation will include representatives from prominent organisations such as the Abu Dhabi Chamber, Abu Dhabi Investment Office (ADIO), Hub71, and Emirates Nuclear Energy Corporation (ENEC), along with private-sector leaders and entrepreneurs.
