Advancing Abu Dhabi’s Business Ecosystem
The Abu Dhabi Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ADCCI) is set to launch seven new working groups to develop the private sector, promote leadership, and enhance Abu Dhabi’s business ecosystem. This initiative aligns with ADCCI’s commitment to fostering prosperity and strengthening the emirate’s role as a hub for business and investment.
Seven Key Focus Areas
The new working groups will address vital fields, including:
- Precious metals and jewellery
- Chemicals production
- Artificial Intelligence (AI)
- Interactive and digital gaming
- Banking and financial services
- Blockchain and digital assets
- Media, entertainment, and gaming
These sectors were chosen to reflect the aspirations of the private sector and enhance their capacity to contribute to Abu Dhabi’s socio-economic growth. The Chamber’s previous working groups identified over 126 opportunities for the private sector, showcasing their role in driving innovation and development across diverse industries.
Comprehensive Economic Development
H.E. Shamis Ali Khalfan Al Dhaheri, Second Vice Chairman of ADCCI, highlighted the Chamber’s dedication to fostering a dynamic business environment, stating:
“Through the new working groups, the Abu Dhabi Chamber aims to solidify the emirate’s position as a leading hub for business and investment.”
The Chamber seeks to enhance communication between the public and private sectors, supporting businesses in adapting to market changes and ensuring their contribution to building a diversified and sustainable economy.
Support for Startups and Innovation
To bolster the role of startups, ADCCI is forming a dedicated team that will include representatives from innovation centres, business incubators, accelerators, venture capitalists, and R&D centres. This initiative aims to address challenges faced by startups and promote their role in the national economy.
Policy Advocacy and Collaboration
ADCCI continues to serve as a voice for the private sector by advocating for policies and collaborating with business councils to identify challenges and propose solutions. The Chamber facilitates regular meetings, workshops, and discussions to engage private sector companies in shaping legislative and regulatory frameworks.
This approach fosters knowledge exchange, strengthens investor connections, and shares best practices across industries, including automotive, construction, real estate, education, and healthcare.
By launching these seven working groups, ADCCI aims to create a flexible, innovative, and collaborative ecosystem that empowers businesses, drives economic diversification, and reinforces Abu Dhabi’s position as a global business leader.
