ADNOC Distribution is reinforcing its standing as one of the UAE’s foremost national innovators by broadening the application of artificial intelligence (AI) across its operations. This step supports the nation’s broader agenda to accelerate digital transformation and advance a sustainable, knowledge-driven economy.
The company has implemented a wide-ranging strategy to embed digital intelligence into both operational processes and customer service channels, with the dual aim of improving efficiency and elevating customer engagement.
This direction reflects the UAE Government’s vision of adopting advanced technologies as drivers of sustainable progress and as key enablers of the UAE Vision 2031, which aspires to position the country among the world’s most advanced economies.
In remarks to the Emirates News Agency (WAM), Eng. Bader Al Lamki, CEO of ADNOC Distribution, stated, “Artificial intelligence is at the core of our strategy and operations. Through AI, we pursue two central goals: enhancing customer experience and improving operational efficiency across our networks in the UAE, Saudi Arabia, and Egypt.”
He further underlined the company’s leadership in advancing smart services across both fuel and non-fuel retail, backed by an expanding portfolio of AI-led projects. “To date, more than 21 AI initiatives have been rolled out, with several already operational and producing tangible outcomes. Further initiatives are set to be unveiled in the near future,” he added.
One of the most significant projects is the customer demand analysis system, which processes over 220 million annual transactions. This allows ADNOC Distribution to pinpoint high-demand products and peak service times, ensuring optimal stock levels and operational performance at its service stations.
Another major initiative is AI-enabled fleet management, which leverages traffic data to map out the most efficient delivery routes from depots to stations. This approach cuts travel time, improves service reliability, and reduces emissions. ADNOC Distribution has also been operating its fleet on biofuels for the past two years, contributing to a lower carbon footprint.
