Dragon Oil, a wholly owned subsidiary of Emirates National Oil Company (ENOC), signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Sohol Al-Salam Oil Services Co. (SAS Oil), part of Iraq’s Al-Amal Group, to strengthen cooperation in the country’s oil and gas sector.
Strategic Partnership for Growth
The agreement was signed on behalf of Dragon Oil by Eng. Fareed Al Hashmi, Chief Expansion and Growth Officer, representing Eng. Abdulkarim Ahmed Al Mazmi, Acting CEO. On the Iraqi side, Mohamed Al-Sudani, Chairman of Al-Amal Group, signed the MoU in the presence of senior executives from both parties. This step reflects a mutual interest in expanding energy collaboration.
Exploring Investment and Technical Opportunities
The MoU aims to create joint opportunities in oil and gas, including technical services, engineering, procurement, and construction works. It also includes operational support, which is essential for efficient project delivery. Additionally, both companies will explore investment in promising oil fields and future projects. These efforts reinforce Dragon Oil’s commitment to building strategic partnerships with national companies in Iraq, ensuring long-term sectoral development and shared benefits.
