du, the UAE telecom and fintech provider, has launched the “Salary in the Digital Wallet” (SITW) feature, enabling employees across the country to receive their salaries directly into du Pay wallets. Upon registration, customers are issued a unique IBAN, allowing seamless salary deposits that are instantly accessible through the du Pay mobile app or physical du Pay card.
Bridging the Financial Gap
The service specifically targets UAE workers earning less than AED 5,000 per month, many of whom lack access to traditional banking. By offering zero-balance accounts, SITW eliminates dependence on cash while providing secure, digital transaction capabilities. Users can carry out international money transfers, pay bills, recharge telecom services, make card payments, and order a debit card, all within a single digital platform.
Future Expansion and National Alignment
du Pay has indicated plans to broaden its product portfolio, including digitised salary disbursement solutions for employers. The initiative is part of a broader strategy to support financial inclusion and align with the UAE’s national vision of fostering digital innovation and accessibility in financial services.
