Saudi Arabia’s Industrial Production Index (IPI) rose 7.9% year-on-year in June 2025, according to the General Authority for Statistics (GASTAT).
- Mining and quarrying: +6%
- Manufacturing: +11.1%
- Electricity, gas, steam, and air conditioning supply: +5.6%
- Water supply, sewerage, waste management, and remediation: +6.9%
Oil activities increased by 7.7%, while non-oil activities grew by 8.6%, signaling both energy sector strength and diversification momentum.
Economic Context
The IPI, released monthly, measures production volume changes in mining, manufacturing, utilities, and water services. Data is gathered via the Industrial Production Survey, covering establishments across the Kingdom.
The June results align with Vision 2030 goals to expand manufacturing capacity, strengthen non-oil industries, and improve overall economic resilience.
