Dubai’s dynamic tourism appeal, supported by impactful collaboration between public and private sectors and amplified through a comprehensive global marketing strategy, led to the city welcoming 9.88 million international overnight visitors between January and June 2025. This marks a 6% year-on-year increase, according to data released by the Dubai Department of Economy and Tourism (DET).
H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Defence, and Chairman of The Executive Council of Dubai, stated that Dubai’s continued record-breaking performance in international visitation underscores the strategic vision of H.H. Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, to position the city as a leading global hub for business and tourism.
He emphasised that this progress highlights Dubai’s rise as a central destination for trade, investment, talent and opportunity, as well as the world’s most connected city.
The city’s capacity to curate unique and evolving experiences tailored to visitor needs has reinforced its global appeal. From world-class infrastructure to innovative attractions, Dubai stands as a benchmark for excellence in tourism and hospitality.
He added that, as the emirate advances the objectives of the Dubai Economic Agenda D33, tourism will remain a vital contributor to GDP and cross-sectoral economic growth.
