The Federal Authority for Government Human Resources (FAHR) in the UAE has officially announced the Eid Al Fitr holiday for federal government employees.
According to the directive, the holiday will be observed from the 1st to the 3rd of Shawwal 1446 AH. Regular work will resume on the 4th of Shawwal. However, if Ramadan lasts 30 days, the 30th of Ramadan will be an additional public holiday, extending the Eid break.
Celebrating Eid Across the Nation
The UAE government extended its congratulations to citizens, residents, and the wider Arab and Islamic communities on this occasion. FAHR’s statement expressed wishes for prosperity and well-being for all.
The announcement aligns with the country’s efforts to facilitate work-life balance while allowing people to celebrate Eid with their families. Further details regarding private sector holidays are expected soon.
