Verition Fund Management has introduced its first-ever internship program in Dubai, in collaboration with Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC). The 16-week initiative aims to attract top-tier talent, including UAE Nationals, and provide them with hands-on experience in global finance.
DIFC’s Future of Finance report highlighted the importance of addressing talent shortages by offering competitive compensation, continuous training, and partnerships with universities. Verition’s new program aligns with these findings, helping to develop the next generation of finance professionals.
Expanding Verition’s Presence in Dubai
With $12 billion in assets under management (AUM) and over 700 employees worldwide, Verition operates in the US, UK, Hong Kong, Singapore, and Dubai. Since establishing its DIFC office in 2023, the firm has expanded rapidly, growing its team and diversifying investment strategies.
The internship program, part of Verition’s commitment to talent development in the UAE, will welcome students from top universities, including Zayed University, American University in Dubai, and American University of Sharjah.
Internship Structure and Key Focus Areas
Participants will rotate across various investment-focused groups, including:
- Credit
- Fixed Income and Macro
- Convertible and Volatility Arbitrage
- Event-Driven
- Equity Long/Short and Capital Markets
- Quantitative Strategies
Additionally, interns will gain exposure to essential non-investment functions such as treasury, operations, and legal/compliance.
The program will take place in-person at Verition’s DIFC office. Interns will receive mentorship from experienced professionals, work in a collaborative environment, and experience Verition’s entrepreneurial culture, which fosters innovation and open communication.
Application Process
Applications for the program will open in the coming weeks. Undergraduate students pursuing finance, economics, or related fields are encouraged to apply.
This initiative reinforces Dubai’s position as a global financial hub and helps bridge the gap between education and real-world experience.
