Reviewing AED3.6 billion worth of projects under the Hatta Master Development Plan, His Highness emphasised the alignment of these initiatives with Dubai’s Vision 2030 and Economic Agenda D33, aimed at transforming Hatta into a global model for sustainable development and tourism.
During the visit, His Highness inaugurated the Hatta Sustainable Waterfalls project, which features a record-breaking mosaic panel commemorating the UAE’s founding fathers. Other projects include DEWA’s renewable energy initiatives, such as the GCC’s first hydroelectric power plant and the Shams Dubai programme promoting solar energy adoption.
His Highness also highlighted the role of Emirati entrepreneurs in shaping Hatta’s future. He toured innovative local projects, including GoGravity electric bikes and the Al Bedwawi Honey project, which reflect the entrepreneurial spirit and drive of Hatta’s youth.
The Hatta Winter Festival, another focal point of the visit, features cultural, educational, and recreational activities designed to enhance Hatta’s appeal as a winter destination. The festival is part of broader efforts to promote local tourism, attract private sector investment, and create opportunities for residents.
Additional developments include the Hatta Beach project, a 53,000-square-metre destination featuring a lagoon, cycling tracks, restaurants, and outdoor cinemas, as well as expansions to cycling trails, schools, and residential facilities. His Highness also discussed ongoing efforts to preserve Hatta’s natural and cultural heritage while promoting economic growth and sustainability.
