IFZA, Dubai’s dynamic free zone community, has launched the Der Mittelstand. BVMW e. V. (BVMW) representative office in Dubai, marking a milestone in strengthening UAE-German business ties.
As BVMW’s official representative in Dubai, IFZA has previously collaborated with the organisation on multiple events and conferences.
IFZA’s CEO, Jochen Knecht, opened the event, which featured panel discussions and networking, facilitating valuable exchanges and connections.
The new representative office signifies a strategic partnership aimed at fostering UAE-Germany growth. It will support German SMEs by offering key resources, strategic partnerships, and access to the UAE’s business-friendly environment to drive their success from Germany to Dubai.
Aligned with the Dubai Economic Agenda D33, IFZA’s expansion will continue attracting Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) to the emirate. Jochen Knecht commented, “Opening the BVMW office is a major step in our commitment to supporting partners and attracting FDI. It strengthens our ties with the German market and provides pathways for German SMEs to thrive in the UAE.”
Christoph Ahlhaus, Chairman of BVMW, added, “The Gulf is one of the fastest-growing regions, and we are pleased that our long-standing partnership with IFZA will support German businesses in achieving their goals. This office will connect with local partners, providing a gateway to a valuable network and insights into regional opportunities, encouraging trade, knowledge exchange, and mutual growth between Germany and the UAE.”
