The UAE’s newly appointed ministers were officially sworn in on Thursday before President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister, and Ruler of Dubai. The ceremony took place at Qasr Al Watan in Abu Dhabi.
Key figures taking the oath included His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister, and Minister of Defence, along with His Highness Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister, and Minister of Foreign Affairs.
Additional ministers who took their oaths are:
- Ahmad Belhoul Al Falasi, Minister of Sports
- Sarah bint Yousef Al Amiri, Minister of Education
- Dr. Abdulrahman bin Abdulmannan Al Awar, Minister of Human Resources and Emiratisation, and Acting Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research
- Alia bint Abdullah Al Mazrouei, Minister of State for Entrepreneurship
In a separate ceremony held at Qasr Al Bahr, other ministers were sworn in:
- Shamma Al Mazrui, Minister of Community Development
- Salem bin Khalid Al Qassimi, Minister of Culture and Youth
- Maryam Al Hammadi, Minister of State and Secretary-General of the UAE Cabinet
- Jabr Ghanem Al Suwaidi, Minister of State
President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan wished the newly appointed ministers success in their roles, urging them to excel in their duties and contribute to the nation’s progress. “There is no limit to our ambitions in serving our nation and our people. The UAE continues to lead as we rely on our human capital to lead the next phase of comprehensive, sustainable development,” he stated.
His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum stressed the need for continuous development within the government to achieve excellence and future readiness. “The UAE’s ongoing development will be enabled by continuous efforts to boost the country’s achievements, underscoring the importance of teamwork and collaboration,” he said.
The ceremony was attended by several high-ranking officials, including H.H. Sheikh Maktoum bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister, and Minister of Finance; H.H. Lt. General Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Interior; H.H. Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Presidential Court; and other esteemed Sheikhs and ministers.
