The Trump Organisation has announced a significant expansion into the Middle East with the development of a $500 million ultra-luxury resort in Oman. Trump International Resort, Golf Club & Residences, in partnership with Dar Global, will open in December 2028 as part of the prestigious AIDA project, one of the world’s largest premium mixed-use real estate developments.
A Landmark Development
Situated on a 100-meter-high hilltop overlooking the beach, the 140-key luxury hotel complex will feature an 18-hole championship golf course, exclusive hanging suites with private pools, and the Middle East’s first cliff-hanging nightclub. The resort marks a major milestone in the Trump brand’s regional presence and aligns with Oman’s strategic vision to boost its tourism sector.
“We see this landmark establishment not only setting the bar high for international hospitality standards but also advancing Oman’s tourism vision,” said Ziad El Chaar, CEO of Dar Global.
A New Era of Luxury
Eric Trump, Executive Vice President of the Trump Organisation, emphasized the partnership’s goal to introduce “a new era of style, service, and exclusivity” to the region. “This partnership reflects our shared commitment to crafting iconic luxury experiences for discerning travelers and investors, while also enhancing Oman’s profile as a premier destination on the global stage,” said Trump.
Strategic Location and Impact
The Trump International Resort is part of the larger AIDA development, a sprawling 5 million square meter project located just 10 minutes from Downtown Muscat. Scheduled for completion in 2027, the first phase of AIDA will reshape Oman’s urban landscape and attract global investors and tourists.
Boosting Oman’s Tourism Sector
This venture comes at a time when Gulf nations are increasingly diversifying their economies, with luxury tourism playing a key role in their strategies. The Trump Organisation’s expansion into Oman is expected to significantly contribute to these efforts, reinforcing the country’s position as a top destination for luxury tourism.
The development not only highlights the Trump Organisation’s commitment to growth in the region but also underscores Oman’s potential as a thriving hub for international tourism and investment.
