In a move to streamline the process of obtaining a driver’s licence, the UAE has introduced a new 1-day test initiative. This innovative program aims to expedite the licensing process, making it more efficient and accessible for residents.
A new initiative has been announced to enable certain applicants to obtain their driver’s licence in just one day.
This expedited procedure is available to national service recruits in Fujairah, allowing them to complete their theoretical examination, eye test, and road test all in a single day, the emirate’s police announced on Wednesday. To qualify for this initiative, recruits must be high school graduates.
Similar initiatives were introduced last year in Sharjah and Ras Al Khaimah. Sharjah Police reported that within two weeks, 194 trainees, both male and female, benefited from the ‘One-Day Test’ Initiative in the emirate.
