The UAE National Centre of Meteorology (NCM) has issued a weather advisory alerting the public to fluctuating weather conditions expected across the country in the coming days.
According to reports from WAM, a surface low-pressure system is predicted to persist to the south from Sunday until Monday morning, which may alleviate instability to some extent. Nevertheless, intermittent rainfall is forecasted, particularly along coastal and southern areas.
As Monday progresses into Tuesday night and early Wednesday morning, both surface and upper air low-pressure systems are projected to deepen, leading to increased instability nationwide.
This instability is anticipated to be heightened by rising humidity levels from the Arabian Sea.
The report states, “Widespread convective cloud formation is anticipated, resulting in variable intensity rainfall accompanied by lightning, thunder, and the possibility of hail in certain areas.” It further warns that these conditions could lead to flooding and strong winds, affecting horizontal visibility.
From Wednesday morning until the evening, rainfall is expected to concentrate primarily in the northern and eastern regions before gradually diminishing into Wednesday night.
