The Consulate General of India in Dubai orchestrated a Labour Awareness Programme focused on Health and Financial Management for Indian Blue Collar Workers.
The event, which coincided with iftar, took place at M/s Transworld, Jabel Ali, and saw the participation of approximately 200 workers alongside the company’s management team.
A dedicated team of doctors from Prime Healthcare was present to conduct health check-ups for the workers, ensuring their well-being remains a priority.
Concurrently, officials from the Bank of Baroda enlightened the attendees on financial literacy, offering essential tips on safeguarding against banking fraud.
Following these informative sessions, Pravasi Bharatiya Sahayata Kendra (PBSK) of the Consulate took the stage to shed light on the Government’s welfare measures and the grievance redressal mechanism, emphasizing the support available to the workers.
Consul General of India to Dubai, Shri Satish Kumar Sivan, actively engaged with the workers during the event. He addressed their concerns, offering guidance on various measures and provisions set forth by the Consulate to ensure their overall well-being and safety.
